About the Renewal Dashboard
The Renewal Dashboard provides a snapshot view of the renewal status of a company’s entitlements.
From the Renewal Dashboard , you can:
- Request a renewal, either by creating a renewal request or by purchasing the renewal immediately without a request
- Edit a renewal request
- Authorize a renewal request
- Cancel a renewal request
To display the Renewal Dashboard , On the Subscription menu, click Renewal Dashboard.
Searching for renewal items
- In the search criteria fields, specify search criteria for displaying renewal items. The renewal items must all belong to the same company. If you belong to an end customer, the results are automatically limited to your company. Other users use the Company name field to select the company.To display additional criteria, click Advanced Search.
- Once the search criteria are set, click Search Renewals.

If more than one company matches the search criteria, the Company name field changes to a combo box listing the matching companies. From the Company name combo box, select the specific company for which you want to display renewal items, then click Search Renewals again.

The Renewal Dashboard results section display the renewal items that match the search criteria. The Renewal Dashboard can contain the following tabs:

Current Subscriptions – Renewal Requests – Dropped Subscriptions
About the Current Subscriptions tab
The Current Subscriptions tab contains items that are available to renew, and have not been dropped or passed the grace period for renewing.
Expiring Soon items
The Current Subscriptions tab initially displays the Expiring Soon items, which are items that are either close to expiring or are within the grace period after the expiration.
The Expiring Soon list contains the contract/groups that have items that fit into the Expiring Soon category.
For each contract/group, the Days Left column contains the number of days until the first entitlement under that contract/group expires.
Active items
Active items are items that are available to renew, but are not yet within the renewal period. To display the Active items, click the Show Active link.
The Active items are displayed the same way as the Expiring Soon items.
Showing/hiding details for items
To display the list of entitlements for that contract/group, click the Entitlement Details link for that row.
Selecting items to renew
To select a contract/group to include in a renewal request, check the check box next to it.
To select all of the items in the Expiring Soon list or Active list, check the check box in the column heading.
To create a renewal request for the selected items, click Request Renewal. See Creating a renewal request for details on the request process.
To purchase the renewals immediately, click Renew Now. See Purchasing renewals immediately.
About the Renewal Requests tab
The Renewal Requests tab contains existing renewal requests.
Renewal Requests, Authorized Requests, and Canceled Requests
The Renewal Requests list contains requests that have not yet been authorized. Depending on your privileges, you may be able to:
- Edit requests
- Authorize requests
- Cancel requests
- Purchase the renewals for this request immediately
The Authorized Requests list contains requests that have been authorized. You cannot perform any actions on authorized requests.
The Canceled Requests list contains requests that have been canceled. To display the list of canceled requests, click Show Canceled. You cannot perform any actions on canceled requests.
Showing/hiding details for renewal requests
The Renewal Requests , Authorized Requests , and Canceled Requests lists contain the request number and request date. The Canceled Requests list also includes the cancellation date. To display the entitlements for a request, click the Request Details link for that row.
To hide the entitlement details, click Close.
Managing renewal requests
To display the available options for a renewal request, click the Options link. In the Options list:
- To edit the request, select Edit Renewal Request. See Editing a renewal request.
- To authorize the request, select Authorize Renewal Request. See Authorizing a renewal request.
- To cancel the request, select Cancel Renewal Request. See Canceling a renewal request.
- To purchase the renewals immediately, select Renew Now via Estore. See Purchasing renewals immediately.
About the Dropped Subscriptions tab
The Dropped Subscriptions tab contains items that:
- Have expired and passed the grace period without being renewed
- You have dropped from renewal during a request process
The Dropped Subscriptions list contains the same information as the lists on the Current Subscriptions tab.
Depending on your privileges, you may be able to request a renewal for dropped items.
