Displaying the Search Entitlements to Activate page
To display the Search Entitlements to Activate page, select Activate on the Activation menu.
Providing activation search criteria
For an activation search, you must provide at least one of the following:
- A license authorization code (LAC). To search for multiple LACs, click Add more LACs. Enter the LACs in the fields provided, then click Save.
- An end customer or channel partner company name. For end customers, the results are automatically limited to entitlements available for their company. For users who can manage entitlements for multiple companies, they must provide a company name.
- Depending on the application configuration, a target tag.
The activation search page initially displays with these criteria plus the product line. To display additional criteria, click Advanced Search.
When you have finished providing criteria, click Search Entitlements to display the results.
Selecting a specific company
If the criteria provided match entitlements that belong to more than one end customer, then the Registered company combo box contains the list of matching companies.
Select the correct company, then click Search Entitlements again to display the results.
How the results are organized
The activation search results are grouped by each unique combination of:
- LAC
- Product line or bundle entitlement
- Registered company
The entitlements that belong to the grouping display to the right.

When your selection is complete, click Activate.
For machine activation, you are next prompted to select the activation machine.
