Confirming the activation

About the Confirm page

All activation and certificate management processes include a Confirm page. In some cases, the confirmation step may not be required, and the Confirm page is not displayed.

Accepting the terms and conditions

For most activation and certificate management processes, the top section of the Confirm page contains terms and conditions for the activation. To complete the activation, you must check the check box in this section.

Providing notes concerning the activation

Below the legal notice is a field for providing notes concerning the activation.

Sending the certificate or upgrade request

The Confirm page includes fields for sending the affected certificate for the activation or the upgrade request.

Result output	Used for certificates only. From the dropdown, select an option to indicate how the certificate should be sent. The available options are: None No certificate email is sent at all. If you select this option, then the other fields for configuring the certificate email are hidden. Email only The certificate content is in the body of the email. The email has no attachments. Email and key files The certificate content is in the body of the email. All of the key files are attached separately. Email and zipped key file The certificate content is in the body of the email. The key files are attached in a single zip file. Email and certificate The certificate content is in the body of the email. A PDF version of the certificate is attached. Email, zipped key files, and certificate The certificate content is in the body of the email. The key files and a PDF version of the certificate are attached in a single zip file.
Do not email certificate to registered user	Used for certificates only. If this check box is checked, then the registered user is not sent a copy of the certificate. If the check box is not checked, then whether the registered user receives the certificate depends on the system configuration.
Email to	In the Email to field, type the email address(es) to send the certificate or upgrade request to. Use commas to separate multiple addresses.
Language	From the Language dropdown, select the language to use for the message.
Comment	In the Comment field, provide any additional information to include with the message.

Completing the activation

When you are finished with the Confirm page, click Finish.

The Complete page of the process displays.

About the Complete page

The Complete page provides summary information for the activation or certificate management process.

• For machine activation, the page lists the machine name. To view a summary of the machine contents, click View Summary.

• For registration activation, the page lists the registration certificates that were created.

• To view the complete machine or registration certificate information, click View Certificate. See Fields on the View Certificate page.
• To email the machine or registration certificate, click Send Certificate. See Emailing certificate information.

• To display a printable copy of the machine or registration certificate, click <a href:“../CertificateManagement/Printing_a_Certificate.html”>Print Certificate.

If Activation Serial Numbers were configured for the product lines, then the following ASN information displays:

• A hyperlink that lets you download a file with ASN information. When you click the link, Poetic downloads the ASN file.
• The product line associated with an ASN on this page.
• The ASN associated with the product line

The page may also include a list of the keys that were generated for each machine or registration certificate. For each key, the list displays either:

• The text of the key. If the key text is too long to display, then the key text is truncated. The word [TRUNCATED] displays at the end of the text, as well as a link to view the complete key text.
• A link to a key file

To download a key to a file, click the Save to file link for the key.
