About the Asset Dashboard
The Asset Dashboard allows users to view a summary of the entitlements belonging to a single end customer company.
The Dashboard has a flexible hierarchy and can be displayed by:

Contract
- Group
- Product line
-
Product family
At each of these levels, you can display either:
- The total quantity of active license, maintenance, and support entitlements, plus the available quantity for the license entitlements
- The total quantity, available quantity, and activated quantity for entitlements
Displaying the Asset Dashboard
On the Asset menu, to display the Asset Dashboard, click Asset Dashboard.
Providing the Dashboard search criteria
Selecting the company for which to display the Dashboard
The Dashboard only displays results for a single company.
If you can view assets for more than one company, then use the Company name field to select the end customer for which to display the Dashboard.
If you can only view assets for your own company, then the Company name field does not display. The results are automatically limited to your company.
Selecting the contract for which to display the Dashboard
If contracts are supported, then you can search by the contract number.
In the Contract number field, type the number of the contract for which to display the Dashboard. Use the find icon to search for and select a contract.
Selecting the group for which to display the Dashboard
To search based on group, you can either:
- Enter the group name in the Group name field
- Enter the group pub ID in the Group ID field
Selecting the product line for which to display the Dashboard
To limit the results to a specific product line, select the product line from the Product line dropdown.
Displaying the search results
After providing the criteria, to display the Dashboard results, click Search.
If the criteria you provided matches more than one company, then the Company name field changes to a combo box with a dropdown containing the matching companies. From the dropdown, select the company, then click Search again.
To specify different company name criteria, type the new criteria into the combo box field.
Generating the Dashboard based on a different security role
Administrators or customer support users may want to replicate how a customer may see the Dashboard.
Depending on your security privileges, a Security role dropdown is included in the criteria. This dropdown allows you to generate the Dashboard based on the selected security role.
When viewing the Dashboard using another security role, the results still exclude items that are not visible to your own security role.
Selecting the Dashboard display options
The results section contains two dropdowns to determine how to display the Dashboard results.
Selecting the hierarchy (Show by)
The Show by dropdown determines the hierarchy of the results. The top level is always the company. The other possible levels, which must be in the order shown below, are:

- Product line

Product family
The publisher determines what hierarchies are available. For example, possible hierarchies might be:

Selecting the counts to display (Counts by)
The Counts by dropdown determines the values that display for each item in the hierarchy. Each option includes:

Displaying the Dashboard results based on the selected options
To display the Dashboard results based on your selections from the Show by and Counts by dropdowns, click the Refresh button.
About the Dashboard display
The Dashboard display is based on the selected hierarchy and count value.
At each level, the counts are totaled from the lower levels.
The Display results dropdown allows you to determine how many product family rows to display per page. To change the selection, select an option from the dropdown.
If the results do not fit on a single page, use the Next and Previous links to navigate between pages.
Performing actions on items in the Dashboard
The second column of the Dashboard results contains an arrow. Click the arrow to display a list of possible actions for that item. The available options depend on the type of item and the your security privileges.

Select Edit group to display the Edit Group form for the selected group. Select Add group to create a new group for the contract or company. Select Change entitlement group to select a new group to assign to all of the entitlements belonging to the current group. For more information, see Moving entitlements to a different group. Select View entitlements to display the Search Entitlements page listing the entitlements belonging to the product line or family. The search criteria also includes the other levels of the hierarchy. Select View certificates to display the Search Activation Certificates page listing the certificates belonging to the product line or family. The search criteria also includes the other levels of the hierarchy. Select Activate entitlements to display the activation search page listing the available entitlements for the product line or family. Downloading the Dashboard results to a file
If you can download the Dashboard results, a Download link displays in the results toolbar. Click the link to download a tab-delimited file containing the results.
