Inactivating and re-activating a user

About inactivating and re-activating users

Poetic provides a function to allow you to inactivate and re-activate users.

An inactive user no longer has access to Poetic and cannot be selected as a coordinator, primary contact, or registered user.

Inactivating a user

You cannot inactivate a user if the user is:

  • A coordinator on an order

  • A contract or upgrade coordinator on an active or expired contract
  • A primary contact for a contract

  • A primary contact for a company

To inactivate a user:

  1. On the Overview tab of the User Profile Maintenance page, click Make Inactive. The Inactivate User form displays.
  • Use the notes tabs to enter any notes concerning why the user is being inactivated.
  • Click Inactivate User.

Re-activating a user

You cannot re-activate a user if:

  • The user’s company is inactive
  • The user’s address information is incomplete
  • The email address cannot be validated

To re-activate a user:

  1. On the Overview tab of the User Profile Maintenance page, click Make Active. The Activate User form displays.
  • Use the notes tabs to enter any notes concerning why the user is being re-activated.
  • Click Activate User.
