About the User Maintenance form
The User Maintenance form displays when you choose to create or edit a user during another process, for example when:
- Selecting a primary contact
- Selecting coordinators
- Selecting order contacts
- Selecting registered users
The User Maintenance form provides fields to update basic information about the user.
Fields on the User Maintenance form
User identification information
| First name | In the First name field, type the first name of the user. |
| MI | In the MI field, type the user’s middle initial. |
| Last name | In the Last name field, type the user’s last name. |
| Role | The Role dropdown does not always display. From the Role dropdown, select the security role for the user. If the Role dropdown is not displayed, then new users are assigned the default role configured for their company type. |
| Job title | In the Job title field, type the user’s job title. |
| Department | In the Department field, type the department the user belongs to. |
User language, contact, and login information
| Language | From the Language dropdown, select the language preferred by the user. |
| In the Email field, type the user’s email address. | |
| Create login | Only displays for new users based on the company type configuration. If this check box is displayed, then if the user should have a Poetic login and password, check the check box. |
| Login name | Only displays for new users based on the company type configuration. In the Login name field, type the Poetic login name for the new user. If this field is not displayed, then the user’s email address is used as the login name. |
| Phone and Ext | In the Phone field, type the user’s phone number. If the phone number includes an extension, then in the Ext field, type the extension. |
| Privacy check box | To prevent the user from receiving Poetic notifications, check the privacy check box. |
Other user properties
The publisher may request other publisher-specific information. Depending on the property, you either type the value into a field or select the value from a dropdown.
User mailing address
The mailing address defaults to the company mailing address.
| Country | From the Country dropdown, select the country in which the user is located. The remaining address fields display based on the address format used by that country. |
| Address | In the Address fields, type the street address for the user. |
| City | In the City field, type the city where the user is located. |
| State/Province |
If the country requires a state or province, then select it from the State/Province combo box. Combo boxes allow you to find the correct value by typing it into the combo box field. As you type, the list is filtered to display only those that match what you are typing. When you see the correct value, click it to select it. |
| Zip/Postal code | In the Zip/Postal code field, type the zip code for the user address. Make sure it uses the correct format for the selected country. |
