About the Search Survey Questions form
The Search Survey Questions form displays when you click the find link next to a survey question field for:
- Activation rule sets
- Product activation
- Order modes
You use the form to search for and select a survey question to use for a specific process.
Survey question search criteria
You can search for survey questions using the following criteria:
| ID |
The pub ID of the survey question. To search for a question with a specific pub ID, type the ID into the field. The pub ID field supports partial criteria using the wild card character. For example, to find all survey questions with a pub ID starting with “ABC”, type “ABC%” into the field. |
| Name |
The text of the question. To search for a question by the question text, type the text into the field. The name field supports partial criteria using the wild card character. For example, to find all survey questions that start with “How much”, type “How much%” into the field. |
| Type |
The type of question. Reflects the location where the question is used. To search for a question with a specific question type, select the type from the dropdown. If only one type of question is allowed for the survey question you are selecting, then the Type field is locked. |
| Status | The status (Active or Inactive) for the question. To search for a question with a specific status, select the status from the dropdown. |
Searching for and selecting the survey question
After providing your search criteria, to find and select the survey question:
- Click Search. If no questions match your criteria, a “No matches found” message displays.
Otherwise, the list of matching questions displays.
- Use the Next and Previous links to navigate through the list. If a column heading is a hyperlink, then you can also sort the list by that column.
- When you see the question you want to select, click its Select link.The form closes and the question you selected is used to populate the appropriate field.
Adding and editing questions from the search
Depending on the process and your security privileges, you may be able to create or edit a survey question from the survey question search.
If you can create a new survey question, then the Add survey question link displays on the search form. Click this link to display the Survey Question Maintenance form. After providing the survey question details, click Save to both save and select the new question.
If you can edit the questions in the results, then an Edit link displays in the rightmost column. Click this link to display the Survey Question Maintenance form. After updating the question details, click Save to both save and select the updated question.
