About making jobs inactive
To prevent a job from being run at all, you can make the job inactive. For example, you may want to inactivate a job when the associated upgrade offer is no longer valid.
When you make a job inactive, any scheduled runs are canceled.
You also have the option to remove the marking from entitlements or machines or registration certificates.

- On the Search Automated Upgrade Jobs page, click the Options link for the job.
- In the Options list, click Inactivate job.
- On the Inactivate Automated Upgrade Job form, click Inactivate Job.
