Downloading files from the File Share

About the File Share

The File Share is a collection of directories for exporting information from and loading information into Poetic.

The file download function allows you to search for exported or uploaded files in a specific File Share directory. You can then download those files.

For example, if you export products to the File Share, you can use the download function to retrieve the exported file.

You could then log in to another Poetic instance and use the file upload function to upload that file to that instance. See Uploading files to the File Share for details.

Or, after uploading a file, you can use the download function to retrieve the error log.

Displaying the Search File Share page

You download files from the Search File Share page.

To display the Search File Share page, on the Tools menu, click Manage files.

Searching for files

To display a list of files in a File Share directory:

1. From the Directory type combo box, select the File Share directory for which to display files. You can only display files for one directory at a time.

• Use the Update date fields to select a range of dates during which the files were updated.
• Click Search Files.

For each file, the list includes:

• The name of the file
• The size of the file
• The date the file was updated

Downloading a file

To download a file, click its Download link.
