About the Quick Key
The Quick Key provides quick access to functions for activating entitlements, managing certificates, and downloading files.
The Quick Key module can display:
- On the Home page
- On the Activation menu
Using the Quick Key, you can provide a LAC or LACs in order to download files associated with the entitlements associated with the LACs.
Providing the LAC or LACs to work with
In the LAC field, type the LAC you want to use. To work with more than one LAC:
- Click Add more LACs.
- On the Add LACs form, for each LAC you want to add, type the LAC into one of the LAC fields.
- If you run out of LAC fields, click Add Lines to add more fields.
- When you’re finished, click Save.
Providing a machine or registration certificate name or locking ID as criteria
The Quick Key also includes fields to provide a machine/certificate name or locking ID. Locking IDs are on machine only. This allows you to search for available downloads associated with items activated on selected machines or registration certificates.
Downloading files from the Quick Key
To download files based on the selected LAC or LACs, click Download.
- If you only provided LACs as criteria, the Search by Download tab of the Downloads page is displayed.
- If you also provided a machine or registration certificate name or locking ID, the Search by Machine tab is displayed.
The search results list the downloads for the entitlements associated with the criteria (LACs, machine or registration certificate, locking ID) you provided.
To download a file, click its Download link.
