About the Company Maintenance form
The Company Maintenance form displays when you choose to create or edit a company during another process, for example when:
- Selecting a coordinator
- Selecting an entitlement or order party
- Selecting a registered company during activation
The Company Maintenance form allows you to provide the basic company information for the company.
Fields on the Company Maintenance form
Company identification
| Company name | In the Company name field, type the name of the company. |
| Company ID | In the Company ID field, type the pub ID for the company. Whether a pub ID is used and is required depends on the application configuration. For existing companies, the ID may not be editable. |
| Alternate name | Displays if alternate names are allowed. In the Alternate name field, type the alternate name for the company. |
| Company type | From the Company type dropdown, select the company type for the company. |
| Other company properties | The publisher may request other information about the company. Depending on the property, you either type the value into a field or select the value from a dropdown. |
Company address
| Country | From the Country dropdown, select the country in which the company is located. The remaining address fields display based on the address format used by that country. |
| Address | In the Address fields, type the street address for the company. |
| City | In the City field, type the city where the company is located. |
| State/Province |
If the country requires a state or province, then select it from the State/Province combo box. Combo boxes allow you to find the correct value by typing it into the combo box field. As you type, the list is filtered to display only those that match what you are typing. When you see the correct value, click it to select it. |
| Zip/Postal code | In the Zip/Postal code field, type the zip code for the company address. Make sure it uses the correct format for the selected country. |
Company primary contact – new company
For a new company, you provide information to create the first user in the company, who will be assigned as the primary contact:
| First name | In the First name field, type the first name of the user. |
| MI | In the MI field, type the middle initial of the user. |
| Last name | In the Last name field, type the last name of the user. |
| Department | In the Department field, type the department the user belongs to. |
| Job title | In the Job title field, type the user’s job title. |
| Phone and Ext | In the Phone field, type the user’s phone number. If the number includes an extension, type the extension into the Ext field. |
| Email address | In the Email address field, type the user’s email address. |
| Other properties | The publisher may request other information about the user. Depending on the property, you either type the value into a field or select the value from a dropdown. |
Company primary contact – existing company
For an existing company, the Company Maintenance form displays the name, phone number, and email address of the current primary contact.
To select a different primary contact, click Change Primary Contact.
