What are notifications?
Notifications are messages sent to Poetic users. The sending of a notification is triggered by a specific event.
For example, when a user generates entitlements, an email message may be sent to the users who can activate the entitlements. When users schedule reports, the report is attached to an email message.
What are notification templates?
Notification templates determine the format and content of each notification. You can create multiple versions of a template to allow different versions of the same notification for different purposes.
Each template includes:
- Preferences for sending the notification
- The email addresses for the sender and BCC
- The default notification content
- The localized versions of the notification content
Notification templates use HTML markup for formatting. Each template also has tags that are used to add customer-specific data to the notification.
