What are reports?
Reports are snapshots of information from the Poetic database. Some reports may be simple tables of information, while others have more complex layouts.
Poetic provides a default set of reports based on the modules included in the Poetic instance.
Publishers can also create custom reports to meet their particular reporting needs.
Users run and schedule reports from the Reports menu.
About reports data
The data used for reports comes from a separate reports database. The reports database is populated from the Poetic database, and the data in the reports database must be refreshed periodically to ensure that the reports data is accurate.
The reports refresh is performed by the PROCESS_REPORTS_REFRESH background job. See Editing and scheduling background jobs for details on managing background jobs. The actual procedures are contained in app_server/lib/reports_refresh_configuration.xml.
Displaying the list of reports
You manage reports from the Search Reports page. To display the page:
- On the Administration menu, click Site Maintenance.
- On the Site Maintenance menu, click the Access Control tab.
