What is a download?
A download is an electronic file that is made available to customers.
A download might be:
- A software patch
- An upgrade
- A trial version of software
- Documentation
Poetic users get access to available downloads from the Downloads page. See About downloading files for details.
Attributes of a download
For each download, you can configure:
- Short and long descriptions. The long description is a text file loaded to the Poetic File Share.
- When the download becomes available
- Whether the download requires the user to have an entitlement.
- The products the download is associated with.
Displaying the Search Downloads page
You manage the available downloads from the Search Downloads page. To display the Search Downloads page:
- On the Administration menu, click Products.
- On the Product Configuration menu, click Downloads.
